Heat
waves, forest fires and droughts – climate change has already had precarious
effects on people, the environment and also the business world. Public
awareness of the climate emergency has never been higher. SMEs should not waste
any more time and must reconsider how they are doing business and create
climate-friendly business strategies. It’s an opportunity. Companies which
adopt a green agenda and take action will be poised for success in
future. But do consultants have a role to play?

Last year, we
successfully piloted the EBRD's Masterclasses for Consultants series,
with some of our renowned experts and advisers.
Now, we're excited to bring to you the
next series of dedicated masterclasses, but this
time with a special focus
on "green for SMEs". This three-part series will tackle the key challenges SMEs have in
"greening" their operations - from their business models to
their supply chains -, the principles of circular economy, as well as the
key role ESG standards play in fostering business resilience and
longevity.
Throughout the series, consultants will learn how to address the
scepticism amongst SMEs around sustainable practices and empower them to
do their part for the environment and their own business.
